-drawing basic space

PROJECT BRIEF

This is an individual work, however due to heavy workload that students may be experiencing in conducting the assignment, it is advisable to work in group. Students are to maintain the same group as in Assignment 1. In the same group of 5, students will be given a space by lecturer.

REQUIREMENT:

As a group, students are required to measure the given space including all existing furniture found at the space including lightnings, fans, air conditioning only without piping, exposed wiring, any cables and fire sprinklers. Students are to take all measurements required to explore the applications of drawing conventions and to generate the orthographic drawings individually.

TASK:

Students have to draw out one floor plan, two elevations (different angle) and one section view of the given space.  E-quarium level 1 (lounge area only) was assigned to my group.

In this project, I am able to demonstrate understanding in drawing conventions including line weights, dimensions, annotations and drawing symbols.

I have learnt the ability to translate information to 2D drawings, clarity and presentation of information through drawings & good workmanship in this project.

Through this project, I have learnt the ability to communicate in term of showing evidence of my weekly progression work to tutor.

my reflection

 This assignment taught me to think creatively and critically in order to capture the accuracy of the space. As I was able to produce more visually accurate drawings, this has improved my ability to transform the space from 3D to drawings. Moreover, it requires good management of myself in terms of workmanship, time and efficiency as an individual task.
